Abstract
The hydrodemetallation (HDM) reaction of VO-tetra(tert-butylphenyl)por phine on Ni-Mo and Mo catalysts, supported on a carbon carrier of the Sibunit type, proceeds in the same manner as that on the catalysts sup ported on mineral carriers. Ni-Mo/Sibunit and Mo/Sibunit catalysts exh ibit high activity in the conversion of model compounds. A fast activi ty drop at the initial period, which is typical of the catalysts suppo rted on alumina, is not inherent to these catalysts.
