Ss. Goryashchenko et al., COMPLETE METHANE OXIDATION ON TRANSITION-METAL CATIONS STABILIZED IN MATRICES OF ZSM-5-TYPE ZEOLITES .2. A NI ZSM-5 SYSTEM/, Kinetics and catalysis, 35(1), 1994, pp. 87-89
It is shown that Ni/ZSM-5, containing isolated coordinatively unsatura
ted nickel cations, exhibits high and stable activity in complete CH4
oxidation. The number of nickel cations participating in the reaction
is estimated. The specific activity of nickel cations localized in the
zeolite channels is found to be considerably higher (by a factor of 6
to 7) than the specific activity of cations supported on SiO2.
