We present an effective electromagnetic Lagrangian in a charged anyon
gas at arbitrary temperature, which enables us to study the electromag
netic properties of the anyonic system at both zero and finite tempera
ture (i.e., in the superconductive and the normal phases) with equal f
acility. The temperature dependences of magnetic and dielectric permea
bilities are derived. It is shown directly how the particle excitation
s are ''dressed'' to become electromagnetic vortices. The induced quan
tum numbers of those excitations are found at arbitrary T.
