Abstract
We have measured the kinetic parameters of coke combustion from experi ments following a temperature vs. time sequence. As experimental basis , the regeneration of a silica-alumina catalyst deactivated in the iso merization of cis-butene has been taken. The results of the simplified treatment proposed by Sohn and Kim have been compared with the result s of the rigorous numerical solution. Recommendations are given on the experimental conditions for which the simplified method is applicable . The conditions for which the numerical solution is needed are establ ished.
