Abstract
Recurrent reproductive failure caused by porcine reproductive and resp iratory syndrome may be parity related, being a problem particularly i n first-parity sows. An accurate understanding of the porcine reproduc tive and respiratory syndrome serostatus of incoming replacement gilts and the existing breeding herd may be critical in solving problems of this nature.
