M. Lisowski et J. Nowak, STUDY OF MAGNETIC-SUSCEPTIBILITY PROCESSING IN AN INCREMENT OF THE TOTAL FLUX, Review of scientific instruments, 65(9), 1994, pp. 2929-2932
The relative increment of the total flux in a secondary coil is presen
ted as a function of sample magnetic susceptibility, a demagnetization
factor, and the secondary coil filling factor caused by the sample. T
he filling factor was defined and its basic properties were given. The
relation between the filling factor and geometric parameters of a sph
erical sample coaxially placed in a cylindrical coil was determined. T
he calibration factors, used up to now, and the filling factor, were c
ompared. It was shown, that if the demagnetization factor D-->1 (in th
e case of a thin film placed perpendicular to the magnetic field), and
the sample susceptibility chi not equal-1, the magnetization suscepti
bility is not measurable, except in the case when chi=-1.
