COADMINISTRATION OF FLUVOXAMINE INCREASES SERUM CONCENTRATIONS OF HALOPERIDOL

Four patients with chronic schizophrenia were treated with a combinati on of fluvoxamine, haloperidol, and benztropine. The combination signi ficantly impaired performance on tests of delayed recall memory and at tentional function. Haloperidol concentrations in serum were monitored in three patients and were robustly elevated by fluvoxamine.
