ELECTROANALYTICAL STUDY OF COPPER AND IRON COMPOUNDS IN THE SOLID-STATE - APPLICATION TO COPPER FERRITE CHARACTERIZATION

The electrochemical behaviour of Cu2O, CuO, FeCl2 . 4H2O, Fe2O3, Fe3O4 and their mixtures in the solid state, in acidic media at a carbon pa ste electrode with electrolytic binder, was studied. The voltammograms obtained were employed for the characterization of copper ferrite. Mo reover, several hypotheses for the electrochemical reactions of the so lid incorporated into th carbon paste electrode are proposed, based on results obtained by us and reported in the literature.
