Abstract
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has been associated with a rise in the ra te of bile duct injury. A simple modification of a dissection techniqu e that enables safer laparoscopic cholecystectomy is presented. This m odification has resulted in a decreased risk of injury to the bile duc ts and associated vasculature.
