Abstract
Fine needle aspiration cytologic findings in two cases of malignant ly mphoepithelial lesion (MLEL) of the parotid glands are presented. Aspi rates of both cases showed individual or cohesive clusters of tumor ce lls intermingling with mature lymphocytes. Cervical lymph node aspirat es in both cases were similar to those seen in the parotids. Our findi ngs suggest that neither cytology nor histology of the cervical lymph nodes is conclusive in establishing the primary site of a metastatic l ymphoepitheliomalike carcinoma. MLEL of the salivary glands must be in cluded in the differential diagnosis.
