Abstract
The impregnation of ammine aqua cobalt(III) complexes on eta-Al2O3 was investigated by NIR FT-Raman spectroscopy and in a few cases by UV-vi s spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction. The cobalt(III) impregnat ed alumina samples were prepared from different precursors using diffe rent impregnation methods. The observed Raman bands for the impregnate d alumina around 522-537 cm-1 were tentatively assigned to the vibrati onal modes for the Co-OAl or Co-O(H)Al bonds (Al = aluminium atom on A l2O3 surface).
