P. Gaskell et Ac. Smith, PHOSPHATE ESTER COATED WOLLASTONITE AS A REINFORCING FILLER IN POLYPROPYLENE, Plastics, rubber and composites processing and applications, 22(3), 1994, pp. 171-175
A comparison has been made between the processability and mechanical p
roperties of a new phosphate ester coated wollastonite and alternative
reinforcing fillers at a loading of 40% in polypropylene copolymer. T
he phosphate ester coated wollastonite was shown to improve MFR and fl
ow length ratio whilst large increases in impact strength and elongati
on to break were found without significantly detracting from modulus o
r HDT.
