Abstract
A convenient, electronically controlled, in situ, membrane feeding sys tem is described. Evaluation of the system for feeding single pair-mat ed Aedes aegypti with defibrinated, refrigerated pig blood indicated n o significant difference from mouse-fed controls in rate of egg matura tion, fecundity, or pupal yield. The feeding system is also suitable f or use with substitute protein meals.
