The present study demonstrates the possibility of preparing Bi-based S
C-ceramics with almost theoretical density and high level of supercond
uctive and mechanical properties in a short time by temperature treatm
ent under high pressure conditions. It is shown that there is a P-T-ta
u-region where the 2223 phase content may be increased. The variation
of unit cell volume of 2223 phase is also observed. The critical curre
nt density of the samples can be increased after the P-T-tau treatment
by a factor of 25 times.
