Abstract
Using a new statistical model for horst errors, we calculate the condi tional probability of undetected error for CRC codes with generator po lynomials of the form g(x)=(1 + x)p(x), p(x) a primitive polynomial. m e show that the choice of p(x) affects the performance of these codes,
