Abstract
Mycosisymbrium cirrhosum, a new genus and species of dematiaceous hyph omycete, is described and illustrated in culture and on dead leaves of Vaccinium macrocarpon. The fungus is characterized by discrete aggreg ates of conidiophores terminating in sterile, filiform appendages and brown, one-septate conidia.
