Holter 24 hour ECG monitoring, coronary angiography and stress doppler
echocardiography of transmitral flow during transesophageal atrial pa
cing were performed in 41 patients with first transmural myocardial in
farction. Patients with a duration of painless ischemia exceeding 60 m
in/24 hours had more pronounced disturbances of left ventricular diast
olic function at stress than patients with duration of painless (silen
t) ischemia less than 60 min/24 hours.
