Abstract
Relative-permittivity increments and excess molar volumes have been me asured for {xCH3(CH2)4CH3 + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)vOH} (v = 2, 4, and 6) at t he temperature 298.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. Relative permitti vity was determined using the short-circuited-line method and the exce ss molar volume was obtained from densities measured by vibrating-tube densimetry. Variable-degree polynomials have been fitted to the resul ts. The experimental excess molar volumes were compared with the resul ts obtained with the Nitta-Chao model.
