The ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity in the binary liquid mi
xtures of methanol with ethylene glycol, acetonitrile and nitrobenzene
have been measured at 303K. From the measured values, the thermodynam
ic parameters such as adiabatic compressibility, free length, free vol
ume and their excess values are computed. The observed results are dis
cussed in terms of strength of interaction between the components of t
he mixture.
