Pbsnv. Prasad et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL IMPEDANCE STUDY OF NICKEL ELECTRO-DEPOSITS PREPARED IN ULTRASONICALLY AGITATED BATH, INDIAN JOURNAL OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY, 1(2), 1994, pp. 127-128
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopic (AC impedance) studies have be
en carried out on nickel electrodeposits obtained from still and ultra
sonically agitated Watts electrolytic bath. The samples have been test
ed in 3.5% sodium chloride solution. The beginning of corrosion proces
s is well defined by the appearance of semicircle. The variation of cu
rrent density (ed) during plating influences the performance of the co
ating. Ultrasonic agitation has improved the corrosion resistance prop
erties of nickel deposits.
