S. Kamerdzhiev et al., THE ROLE OF 1P1H-CIRCLE-TIMES-PHONON GROUND-STATE CORRELATIONS IN THEISOSCALAR EO EXCITATIONS OF MAGIC NUCLEI, Nuclear physics. A, 577(3-4), 1994, pp. 641-652
The isoscalar E0 strength functions in Ca-40, Ca-48, (208)pb and for t
he unstable nucleus Ni-56, calculated within an approach which incorpo
rates RPA configurations including the single-particle continuum as we
ll as complex 1p1h circle times phonon configurations. New effects due
to a consistent treatment of ground-state correlations are found. We
obtain appreciable E0 strength in the low-energy region for Pb-208 and
Ni-56. In Ca-40 the effect is so strong that the strength is very fra
gmented. Reasonable agreement with available experiments is obtained f
or Pb-208 including the width.
