Abstract
The orbital energies of bromate anion calculated using CNDO/2 method h ave been compared with the experimental UP spectra obtained for cadmiu m bromate dihydrate. The assignments of the peaks have been made and c ompared with those reported for chlorate anion. The core level spectra obtained are also reported.
