Abstract
Pulse spray thrombolysis (PST) is a new technique of accelerated intra -arterial thrombolysis. The systemic fibrinolytic effect of PST with t issue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA) has been studied on 10 patient s after they received 10 mg t-PA. A moderate systemic fibrinolytic eff ect was observed but this was not significantly different from the eff ect seen in another group of 32 patients treated with continuous slow infusion of 10 mg t-PA intra-arterially over 20 hours.
