New germa- and silathiazolidines or germa- and siladithioacetals with
N-allyl-substituted cysteamine and methylcysteamine ligands have been
synthesized and their pharmacological properties (toxicity, radioprote
ctive activity) have been studied. A notable decrease in the toxicity
and a rather large increase in the radioprotective activity of these n
ew organometallic derivatives compared to N-allyl-substituted cysteami
ne and methylcysteamine were observed.
