The photogrammetric inner constraints, which are used for the derivati
on of free network solutions in close-range applications, are derived
for the case where the Direct Linear Transformation model is used in t
he adjustment of the observations. The derivation is based on the fact
that the inner constraint matrix is the transpose of the matrix of th
e derivatives of the unknown paraMeterS with respect to transformation
parameters of the reference frame. This matrix of derivatives is deri
ved directly by studying the variation of the DLT parameters caused by
an infinitesimal change of the reference frame. This is achieved from
the known corresponding variation of the bundle parameters and the kn
own direct and inverse relations between DLT and bundle parameters.
