Am. Onishchenko et Av. Ivashev, IMPROVED ACCURACY IN MEASURING GAS AND DUST CONCENTRATIONS IN MINE ATMOSPHERES, Measurement techniques, 37(2), 1994, pp. 229-234
A methodology is presented for optimizing gas and dust concentration m
easurements in a pit atmosphere by minimizing the overall error due to
the error in the method of measurement, the instrumental and random e
rrors, and the representatives error. It is found to be promising to u
se the attenuation of infrared radiation in appropriate wavelength ran
ges. The optimum wavelengths are determined for various mine atmospher
e composition measurements.
