Abstract
In this review we discuss (1) the role of the endothelial cell in the initiation of acute and chronic rejection; (2) studies that demonstrat e that endothelial cells have the ability to selectively costimulate T cell activation: and (3) the bi-directionality of T cell-endothelial cell interactions in rejection.
