Abstract
Human recombinant IL-1beta injected intraperitoneally into CBA mice do se-dependently induced leukocytosis, stimulated phagocytosis and reduc ed tetrazolium nitroblue by peritoneal leukocytes, colony formation by bone marrow cells, enhanced Con A and IL-2-induced proliferation and IL-2 production in thymocytes and splenocytes. Recombinant IL-1beta re stored bone marrow cell proliferation reduced after 5-fluorouracil tre atment and significantly increased the survival rates of lethally irra diated mice.
