Abstract
A Monte-Carlo simulation method is introduced to study the infrared-ra diance statistics of bare ground terrain in a wind field. Our results show that the terrain-material emissivity variation and local wind spe ed will greatly affect the symmetry features of the distribution of gr ound temperature.
