Abstract
Face-to-face-dialogues of patient and psychoanalyst demonstrate the in teractive character of psychotherapy. The therapeutic situation is not only the result of the patient's psychic reality, but is a mutal inte ractive construction of patient and psychoanalyst. The assertion is in correspondence with findings of symbolic interactionism and ethnometh odology and their advanced methodologies.
