We investigate the combined role of coagulation and annihilation in pr
ocesses involving particles of two kinds. When two clusters meet they
either coagulate (if they contain particles of the same kind) or a pai
rwise annihilation of particles according to the A+B->O scheme takes p
lace, so that (at most) one cluster survives. We monitor the temporal
evolution of the number of particles and of the number of clusters in
the system. We present numerically determined scaling laws, which we j
ustify through analytical considerations.
