The anteromedial thigh region is a fruitful site to create different t
ypes of fasciocutaneous flaps and compound flaps because of its versat
ile fasciocutaneous vascularization. On the other hand, phallic recons
truction is still a challenge. We used a proximally based, fasciosubcu
taneous pedicle anteromedial thigh fasciocutaneous flap to reconstruct
a penis for an electrical burn patient, including the gracilis muscle
into the flap for additional bulk. This flap has the potential for se
nsory reinnervation, its application is easy with regard to a microvas
cular operation and it presents a remarkable option in phallic reconst
ruction.
