The intention of the present contribution is to integrate labour mobil
ity with technological change and with pension schedules within the ec
onomic framework in which they develop, by seeking the interrelationsh
ip between them, as well as with the other variables present, in mobil
ity decisions. Our contribution introduces the consideration of techno
logical change among a group of variables which have an equivalent eff
ect on the individual when deciding whether to move or to stay. Furthe
rmore, we consider pensions as another component in the compensatory r
eward for effort at work and, consequently, like the former, an active
instrument in decisions on worker mobility.
