Abstract
Flow injection microsampling dilution was combined with the zone penet ration technique to produce an on-line dilution system capable of achi eving 27,000-fold dilutions in flame atomic absorption spectrometric d eterminations with a sampling frequency of 45/h and a precision of bet ter than 2% r.s.d. Readouts were made at the valleys between two seque ntially injected micro-sample zones in the microliter range which pene trated each other. The method was applied to the determination of seve ral grams per liter of magnesium in brine solutions without further di lutions. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
