Abstract
In this paper, two different control problems with state constraints f or shape memory alloys are considered: in the non-isothermal case, we study boundary control problems, and in the isothermal situation, a dy namical shape optimization problem is considered. In both cases, the t ransverse displacement is the constrained state variable. The first-or der conditions of optimality are derived.
