Abstract
The dependence of the patterns of reactions in condensed media on the time scale was recently rationalized [Plonka A, and Paszkiewicz A, (19 92) J. Chem. Phys. 96, 1128] in terms of the renewal theory with the f ractal set of renewal moments which results from the use of the Kohlra usch (1863) function to describe the structural relaxations of the sys tems. The same approach is used presently to rationalize the dependenc e of transport and relaxation patterns on the time scale related to ho st matrix structural relaxations. For the guest probe in glass forming polymer systems, slowing down of host matrix structural relaxations i n the region of glass transition reveals the fractal time patterns of all rate processes with activation energy decreasing below T-g.
