The influence of the organoaluminium components on the functioning of
lanthonoidal catalytic systems LnCl3 . 3TBP-AlR3 (TBP - Tributylphosph
ate) was studied. In the polymerization of dienes on such catalysts, t
he dependence of the rate of reaction initiation, the growth of the ch
ain, the stereospecific effect, the stability of active centers, and a
lso the copolymerization constant on the structure of AlR3 was determi
ned. An analysis of the structural-kinetic system, taking into account
anti-syn isomeric changes of the active center, enabled the evaluatio
n of the constant for the elementary stages of the growth reaction in
butadiene polymerization and showed the changes that took place on var
ying AlR3. On this basis the conclusion was drawn that lanthonoidal ac
tive centers include organoaluminium fragments in its structure, whose
capability for exchange was demonstrated experimentally. The results
of the theoretical calculations of the model complex agree with such a
view.
