Abstract
Correlations in manifestation of molecular mobility in various polymer s with different side groups as induced by mechanical and electrical f ields were studied. For all polymers considered (PS, PMMA, PVC), diele ctric loss tangent associated with local molecular mobility was shown to be proportional to mechanical loss tangent. In the case of segmenta l processes, this correlation was observed only for PS.
