Abstract
Feasibility is demonstrated for the preparation of a new catalyst of t he SVD type for the production of sulfuric acid with the use of silica te wastes. Due to its optimum chemical composition and porous structur e, the new catalyst surpasses the analogous commercial catalyst in act ivity and strength properties over a wide temperature range. The schem e proposed for the production may be realized in existing commercial e quipment used in SVD catalyst manufacture.
