Abstract
A dehydrogenation polymer of ferulic acid (DHP-FA), a synthetic lignin , was evaluated for its ability to inhibit tumor promotion by 12-O-tet radecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) in the 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthrace ne-treated skin of female ICR mice. Topical application of DHP-FA inhi bits TPA-induced tumor promotion, whereas a monomeric ferulic acid doe s not show the inhibitory effect.
