Abstract
Palladium-catalysed transformation of readily available mired carbonat es 1a-l gives rise to a variety of allenic polyunsaturated aldehydes a nd ketones 2a-l. These carbonyls were sometimes contaminated with mino r amounts of the undesired acetylenic regioisomers 3, and could be pur ified by silicagel chromatography.
