Abstract
A method of estimating the number of sources of correlated interferenc e is proposed by dividing the spectrum of the correlation matrix in a reversing lattice filter. This enables unbiased estimates to be obtain ed when one or several of the leading submatrices of the difference co rrelation matrix is degenerate.
