Abstract
Isolated right atrial compression occurred 31 months after aortic valv e replacement. Aortic bleeding contained by adjacent pericardium produ ced a pseudoaneurysm and local atrial tamponade. Transthoracic echocar diography could not distinguish the extracardiac hematoma from an intr a-atrial thrombus, temporarily misleading investigators.
