Abstract
Extended x-ray absorption fine-structure measurements show that the Ni 2+ dopant in BaLiF3 predominantly substitutes on the Lif site of the h ost lattice. Quantitative analysis of the results yields the details o f the local environment of the Ni2+ ion.
