Abstract
The influence of nitrogen- and phosphorus-containing intumescent fire- retardant systems on the flammability and flame-protective characteris tics of alkyd coatings has been studied. The performance of fire-retar dant systems was found to depend on the ratio of components in the sys tem and also on the nature of carbonific used.
