The formation of molecular aggregate behavior of the substituted fulle
rene ,3,6,11,13,18,28,31-octabromofullerene-C60(C60Br8) at the air-wat
er interface is described. It is shown that C60Br8 (1.0 x 10(-4) M) fo
rms a monomolecular thickness and that C60Br8 (1.0 x 10(-3) M) forms m
ultilayers. The in-plane electrical conductivity of Langmuir-Blodgett
films at different conditions has been measured and established to be
of the order of 10(-3) to 10(-5) S cm-1.
