The addition of (OC)5Re+, Cp(OC)(Ph3P)M+ (M = Fe, Ru), Cp(Ph3P)2Ru+, (
OC)5M (M = Cr, W) and Cp(OC)2Mn to the nitrile groups of Cp(OC)2FeCH2C
N, Cp(OC)2FeCH2CH2CN and (OC)3Fe(eta4-C6H7CN), and of (OC)5Re' to the
carbonyl group Cp(OC)2FeCH2CHO, yields the organonitrile-bridged compl
exes [Cp(OC)2FeCH2CNRe(CO)5]BF4, [CP(OC)2FeCH2CH2CNRe (CO)5]BF4, [(OC)
3Fe(eta4-C6H7CNRe(CO)5)]BF4. [CP(OC)2FeCH2CNM(CO)(PPh3)Cp]BF4, [CP(OC)
2FeCH2CH2CNM(CO) (PPh3)Cp]BF4 (M = Fe, Ru), [CpFe(eta5-C5H4CH2CNRu(PPh
3)2Cp)]BF4, CP(OC)2FeCH2CNM(CO)5, CP(OC)2FeCH2CH2CNM (CO)5, (OC)3Fe(et
a4-C6H7CNM(CO)5) (M = Cr, W), Cp(OC)2FeCH2CNMn(CO)2Cp and [CP(OC)2FeCH
2CHORe(CO)5]BF4, respectively. The structure of [CP(OC)2FeCH2CNRe(CO)5
]BF4 has been determined by X-ray diffraction.
