Abstract
Composite cartilage grafts are limited in size due to their limited bl ood supply. Survival of composite cartilage grafts depend on the blood supplied through their margins. The delaying phenomenon increases vas cularization in both the composite cartilage graft and the recipient b ed. We present the effects of delayed composite cartilage graft, delay ed recipient bed, or both, on composite cartilage graft size, survival and also radioactive examination of the cartilage survival using sulp hur 35 in rabbit ears.
