Abstract
The mechanism of charge division in silicon strip detectors with large strip pitch was investigated. Prototypes with different strip width w ere produced and parametrised. A detailed equivalent circuit of the de tector and the associated electronics was modelled within SPICE. The r esults of the simulation are compared with measurements from a beam te st.
