Abstract
The performance of a slow neutron area detector, based on a scintillat ing glass fiber plate coupled to an intensified CCD, at room temperatu re, is reported. In the preliminary test single neutron events are det ected with a spatial resolution of approximately 100 mum (FWHM). Possi ble improvements are discussed.
